Cancer of the Uterus
Cancer of the Uterus (Endometrial cancer) is the fourth most common cancer among women in the U.S.
This cancer begins in the lining of the uterus (endometrium). Known risk factors are obesity, diabetes, having a close relative with endometrial cancer, certain medications to treat breast cancer, having a history of breast cancer as well as never having been pregnant.
Abnormal bleeding from the vagina is the most common symptom of endometrial cancer. Other symptoms may include pelvic pain or unusual vaginal discharge.
